Or food was great and the experience was awesome. In hindsight I wouldn't have taken by 3 young children just because of the price and they didn't really appreciate it like my wife and I did.

During a recent business trip I had the opportunity to join a large group for lunch here. From the moment you enter through the bar into the dining room the place just screams classic Chicago. All things Italian are on the varied menu. True to...More

Over the years everytime I am visiting Chicago I always come to Gene & Georgetti's for dinner at least once. The best of the menu in my opinion is the bone in ribeye and the veal chop. The veal chop is consistent and spectacular everytime...More

The food here was great! We did not know that the portions would be so large & it was unfortunate that our hotel did not have a refrigerator for left overs. Two adults could easily share a pasta dish. Atmosphere felt very historic. Recommended.

Went here because we read it was historic and very good steak house. Reality for me was it was an old school restaurant that doesn't try hard because they don't think they have to since they are so famous. Food was ok. Regards. Disappointed .

This family-style steakhouse provides a fantastic meal. The portion sizes are generous and the ambience is great.

Visited a second time before reviewing, thinking we must have gone on an off night. Ordered beef filet medium rare and between the extreme char on the outside and the lack of seasoning, it truly lacked flavor. Had grilled calamari and toasted raviolis as appetizers...More
