The workers here need to take sanitation courses or something like that. I saw workers clean overfilled take out containers with their fingers. yikes. they need to be cleaner. Beans are too fatty. You can have refried beans without using lard.

What a wonderful place the new restaurant that replaced Nuevo Leon and is situated across the street. The food was excellent. They had a trio playing. The decor is old world Mexico.

I see reviews that are 4 weeks ago but the last time I drove by they were still shuttered. Are they open again? Are they in a new location? I was sad to see the fire on TV for the families and all of the friendly people put our of work. But also for my own selfish reason that I... More

Nuevo Leon seemed like a locals place to eat Mexican when we went with family on a Friday night. They treated us very well. They bring out all sorts of little appetizers and a small dessert, so it is a lot of food. The entree portions are big, too. The food was very good, though we've had better. The drinks... More

I was in the mood for fajitas, so me and a colleague stop in. The sizzling dish came heaping with chicken, peppers, onions, rice and a side of beans. It was way more than I could finish, and tasted great. Definitely one of the best meals I've had. I'll go out of my way to come back.

If I was to be sentenced to death and given one last meal it would be here. The only issue is what to have. It's all amazing. Every time I come home to Chicago I visit this place at least once. Go to the Mexican cultural museum as well.

We got a takeaway burrito and a enchilada something.. They were quick and food was awesome. Definitely I ll try other recipes as well to confirm this review. The only big con is that they didn't (I don't know if it was a temporary problem or it s their policy ) accept cards but only cash. I saw they also... More
