Hit this place for lunch alone while in from out of town. Great side salad with the ranch tossed in. Very tasty. Got a small personal pizza with pepperoni. Was so awesome. Got the deep dish with the buttery crust that was extra. No regrets....More

This is my first trip to Chicago (that isn't a structured school trip). A friend told us about Lou Minalti's and we made it a point to get there - and we're so glad we did! My husband normally hates excess crust on pizza (unless...More

This restaurant is very touristy and crowded. The deep dish pizza is really good. The sauce is thin with tomato chunks, garlic and basil. The crust was buttery and yummy. I also had a wonderful salad with many fresh toppings.

This was my first time trying Chicago deep dish pizza. I was unsure since I normally like thin cheese pizza but Lou Malnati's made a Chicago deep, dish pizza liver out of me. The pizza and service was excellent.

One of the best pizza restaurants in town. The staff was very friendly. I ordered both class and Lou pizza they both were good but i prefer the classic one. Very reasonable price

Out of all the places I've been for deep dish pizza Lou's is my favorite. I always get The Malnati Chicago Classic. There's just something about a layer of meat and extra cheese that reminds me of Chicago. I would highly recommend this restaurant to...More

We were here just this past weekend and drove all the way from Toronto for it! If you love cheese then you'll love the layer-on-layer they put on these bad boys! Bring an appetite because chances are you probably won't be able to finish the...More

This is the better of the two Chicago style pizza places I have visited while in Chicago. The crust and toppings are distinct. The crust had a crispy buttery taste.

Does this location offer frozen pizzas to take home? If so, I was wondering what your thoughts on taking some back on a plane ride back. Probably 6 hours between buying it and being able to refreeze it. Would that ruin the pizza? Any other suggestions for transporting your pizzas on a plane?

I actually froze my leftovers before I got on the plane back to California, it had thawed and was perfect on arrival. I'm not sure if they have half-baked or frozen to go....but you could call a day ahead and ask. I... More

Does this pizza have tomato chunks in sauce

Yes, our pizza sauce contains chunks of tomatoes. If you do not want chunks of tomato, you can always request your pizza be made with our thin crust sauce (same sauce, just pureed a bit more so there are fewer chunks).
