Picked this off of Trip Advisor reviews and they didn't get it wrong. We had a reservation and was seated within 5 minutes of arriving. The restaurant has several seating areas. We were sat in the back, and it was nice except for a large party that was very very loud. They did leave about halfway through our meal and... More

The food was really excellent - I have to admit I was a bit surprised: Lamb chops, Lasagna, Penne with Vodka/Sausage all excellent. The salmon was a bit disappointing (dry), but the sea bass made up for it. Everyone was really impressed and will come again. We did have a problem with our order as it became apparent to us... Restaurant is doing a little reconstruction, but that didn't seem to impact our meal. Our server was incredibly helpful. My wife wanted the pumpkin ravioli, but really wanted to try the Bolognese sauce. A small appetizer sized portion of sauce magically appeared and it was great. My Osso Bucco was meltingly tender, and the pumpkin ravioli were festive. Cocktails were... More

Sapori (“flavors” in Italian) is a chef-driven, family-owned, neighborhood Italian trattoria. It’s in an older building on the corner of N. Halstead and Schubert in Lincoln Park containing a surprising number of rooms loosely connected. The ambiance comes from the casual, eclectic interior and the genuine warmth of the staff. Italian restaurants can run the gamut from clichés to trend-setting.... More

Nice atmosphere for dinner with friends, family, or even a date.Everything I have tried here is good, but I especially love their Carbonara. I've been looking for quite a while for a good carbonara place and I am so happy I found it.

We had dinner at Sapori last weekend, and all three of us really enjoyed the food and the overall experience. We had booked a reservation for relatively early Saturday evening and so we were seated right away when we got there. Parking was not an issue at all, and we found a spot less than 1/4 block away right on... More

We visited on a Thursday evening and we're seated promptly. Very nice ambiance and a good beer selection I ordered the vegetable lasagna and my wife ordered milk and honey ribs.. .both entrees were very good. We used a Groupon and had no problems at all.

Fabulous dining experience! Generous portions! Very attentive and knowledgeable server (Jack). We had bruschetta and calamari grotto to start. Both were very good. Dinner items include Spaghetti all Scoglio, Gramberoni Broccoli and lasagna Di Antonio. The seafood was fresh and flavorful and the meat lasagna was uniquely wrapped, cooked to perfection and delicious. We sampled the Panna Cotta for dessert........ More

Sapori Trattoria was not our first choice for a birthday dinner, but we are glad our original pick would not accommodate an extra member of our group! Each person loved their orders....from the lasagna (huge portions) to my linguine with clams, to the rigatoni with shrimp, to a salad entree. The bread was warm and tasty! The service was impeccable... More

Really nice place in Lincoln Park. Family run and neighborhood feel was welcomed. Live jazz duo playing made for nice ambiance. Place doing a bit of renovation so layout is a bit strange at moment and seems crowded but food and service were not impacted. Be warned portion sizes are huge so consider sharing a few dishes. The burrata starter... More
