On a recent visit to Chicago, someone threw out the big question... "Where we going for dinner?" It didn't take me too long to chime in that Fado is a great Irish pub in the downtown area. Great beer selection, good food reasonably priced, excellent service, and interesting 3 tiered layout that adds to the classic "old country" decor. Definitely... More

I watched game ManUnited against Liverpool. First of all I didn't think that there a lot of fans of football in US, but here in Fado i change my mind!!!! A lot, really a lot of people come to this Irish bar to watch premier league games, most of them were Manchester United fans! Several attempts to reserve table before... More

This Fado's about 65% bar though the food is worth coming back for! Which my husband and I have. We've been here primarily for lunch and brunch over the years, a couple of times per year. I'd call the food "Irish with a New World twist": Fish and chips, of course and corned beef and cabbage, but also things like... More

Excellent food at all times and especially the "Hangover" breakfast sandwich. Great selection of beer, fabulous service from bar and tables. We came for Premier League football on the TV and they had opened especially to allow visitors to watch. Great friendly welcome!

Met friends here because they have a certain beer on tap that they like. Wait staff was fine, food was fine. Nothing to write home about. Atmosphere was pretty quiet. There are many other better places to grab a bite in Chicago.

This place is great to watch sports from all over the world! Wide selection of beers, and a great menu for snacking as well as something more substantial. Very friendly service, and a great atmosphere!

This place is really cool on the inside - couldn't believe how large it was either. We enjoyed our dinner, much better than the 'typical' pub food. Great drinks & service too...would definitely come back!

This has to be one of the best places in Chicago for a beer! Good choice, great service and a fair buzz in the place. I will definitely come here again.

We visited to Bar over a few nights when visiting for Ireland and the All Blacks rugby. The bar staff are very slow and disorganised (apart from one man) and not very friendly. One of the staff accidently spilled beer over a customer and never even offered an apology. While we still managed to have a good night nobody wanted... More
