A classic Chicago beer spot with great beer and great staff. Constantly changing draft list and knowledgeable staff. You don't feel like a snob hanging out here though plus the music helps.

Went here on a Saturday night and sat at the bar for a pint. Staff is very nice and friendly but the atmosphere is certainly rough...In a fun way! The rotating craft selection is huge! Overall a very fun time.

Solo, in town for a wedding. Dark and low key. Proper craft taplist, highly curated for the discerning craft drinker. Regional beers shining hard. One surly bartender, one extra nice bartender with long hair. Perfect balance of characters. Food is tasty and portioned well. Avoid that Maryland crab though...

I just loved this place and now consider it a Chicago favorite. You'll be a fan as well if you love good food (I had the skate and tried someone else's muscles) and craft beer. The beer selection had local crafts, a number of 3Floyd's, and a few further out tossed in. Only thing that might get some people is... More

Had this place on my list of brewpubs to visit on a trip to Chicago. Chicago is such a friendly city but we walked in this pub and felt so unwelcome! A blackboard full of interesting sounding beers but no information on the beers, including tastes/strengths/sizes. Seemed too much bother for staff to help a non local. Seems we were... More

Of course the beer is incredible, and varied. Lots of international choices, as well as the 'local options'. ;) What makes this place special is the atmosphere. Sort of ambient metal and filled with friendly people. We went when it wasn't too busy (mid-afternoon), so we had the pleasure of a nice long chat with a really knowledgeable member of... More

We stopped here for drinks after dinner last week and what a cool little find! They have a nice beer list, including some of their own. We tried a few different kinds and enjoyed them all. We bought a couple of bombers to take home with us, as well. It was a quiet evening (a Monday) and the bartender was... More

Beer snobs rejoice! Check this place out if you're interested in high quality beer options. The place/environment isn't anything overly exciting but the service, knowledge and beer options make it a worthy stop. Did not have food, unable to rate. It is obvious the heart of this establishment is with it's high quality beer options.

Went with 2 buddies (mid 30s), and had 2 drinks and dinner. The dinners were fine, but I do agree with some reviews. Having a list of nonsense beer names on a chalkboard isn't exactly helpful when selecting a drink. Having to wait for the waiter to come and explain each beer is tedious. With that being said, the choices... More
