I was waiting for 15 minutes before I decided to get up and get my OWN menus. I was waiting for 25 minutes before someone even acknowledged us and came to take our order. We asked for chips and they brought us our drinks and...food before that. Someone burnt something in the kitchen so our entire time there we had to smell that horrible smell. A waiter came up to our table to use some of our napkins. Not once did anyone checkup to see how we were doing. I had to get one of the waitress attention to ask for a box to take the rest of my food to go. First and last time there. Horrible experience.More

This Resturant doesn't get the due credit it deserves because its surrounded by other Mexcian Resturant chains within a 1-mile radius. If you want small, comfy and excellent service with great food, this is highly recommended. They are known for Gorditas but there tacos and...burritos awesome too. Parking is hit or miss because it's on Cermak.More

The food is amazing here! Its always hot and fresh. The service is great as well. Its a large restaurant, but you never have to wait to be seated or wait a long time for your meal either.

It has a dive restaurant look but had heard enough good things about this place to check it out. Parking was difficult but that also let me know the food must be good if it's that popular. I rarely buy gorditas but this place is...known for it so that is what I ordered. Fully enjoyed the food and heard it's one of the first restaurants to sell gorditas in Chicago, so that's cool short history. Also tortillas are hand-made, so that small detail makes it much more delicious.More

If you want real Gorditas fresh hand made and with a house filled flavor this is the go. They are a little bit pricy but definitely worth it

large place, wasnt very busy, I suspect the lunch crowd here is huge! We had a very sweet server, who didnt speak much english, but we were able to order some food. The gaucamole was excellent. The steak was grilled to perfection. The rice was...the best I have ever had. Great service reasonable prices and best of all everything was very good!More

Lunch was great. Orders were taken quickly but the food did come out a bit slow so keep this in mind when dining here. We had lots of different things and they were all authentic and delicious . We had tacos, gorditas, burritos, fajitas and...quesadillas. No complaints on the food at all.More

This is a great restaurant for authentic Mexican food. They serve tacos, gorditas, steak dinners, and tortas. It's all delicious. Their side of rice and pinto beans are really delicious too (for me this is the test of a truly great Mexican restaurant).

This restaurant is one of our family's go to places for eats . It's not a fancy place to eat but great if you want genuine Mex food . Most everything I've ordered has been good but they are know for their Gorditas (homemade corn...tortillas split in half and filled with your choice of filling . It seems to be busy almost all the time but especially full at lunch and sometimes at dinner time . Best to go in between times if you don't like the crowds .More
