Stopped in for a Saturday lunch, and of course ordered the poor boy with swiss cheese! They were great, all the food was great and my husbands brandy old-fashioned was perfect! The waitress was very attentive and friendly, her service was great! Just loved it! I would recommend the restaurant as one of the areas best...still!

This was a popular place during my teen and young adult years. I have recently tried this restaurant a few times but was disappointed. Merichkas used to have the best poor boy ever. That is not the case anymore. I wish it were not true but the meat quality simply is not the same. Very tough.

I'm very sorry that you feel this way, but I assure you the meat and everything is prepared the same exact way. Our main butchers have been with us for over 40 years and are using the same cubing machines. I do hope you visit again and please drop me a line merichkas@gmail.com if you do and let me know... went for dinner and again it was great. Have been coming here for 50+ years and it always brings back memories of my childhood. Great staff, very friendly, food was great, love the homemade salad dressings. The onion rings are so awesome. If you have never been, try it but go hungry.

The poorboys and yodel burgers are excellent and the atmosphere is very casual. The price is somewhat high. Not somewhere to eat every week but definitely a special occasion must.

This restaurant serves a quality meal at a great price. My group had fried chicken it was great. The American fries were really good. The wait staff is warm and friendly. This is a trip in time in a good way.

We took our youngest son and his lady out for dinner here. The garlicy poorboy steak and chicken sandwiches were amazing. I really loved their homemade French dressing.

Thank Tom B
