Not even worth it if you're desperate for a Japanese food experience. You go up to a counter to order your food, but they still request a tip on the receipts. The place is only so-so clean (people with dust allergies, beware!). I ordered a "Jumbo shrimp udon" that offered '6 pieces' but it came with two (small-sized!) shrimp with... More

We stopped here at Fushi Yami on a recent trip to DeKalb, for lunch. They had a lot of options to chose from lots of Sushi available as well as Hibachi style meals. Most in our part had different kinds of Hibachi and one person had sushi. All items were very good. We had the chicken, steak as well as... More

My first experiences here were mediocre. Everything was served on styrofoam. Now the sushi comes on a block. I had the 10 piece sushi this week and it cost me about $20 with a drink and tip. The nigiri sushi, in my opinion, is too thin. I think Haru in Sycamore is a better product and cheaper for lunch.

I love that I can get decent sushi, bus my own table and enjoy it in a low key atmosphere for a decent price. This was the beginning project before they expanded next door to Mikimoto, with a similar menu. In a college town, it's nice to get good food at a lower price point, minus the fancy drinks, and... Easily DeKalb's best sushi and the crab rolls are amazing. For take out or eat in, Fushi Yami does not disappoint. The hibachi is also very good. The filet is consistently cooked to perfection while the scallops are overcooked. So for my taste, filet and shrimp is the way to go. The godzilla roll was outstanding as well. Skip the... More

I did expect the hibachi to be visible and more of a gourmet experience. The food was not what we were expecting, more of a fast food experience. It reminds me of mall food court. Was empty on a Saturday night, should have been enough warning for us!

This little annex next to Miki Moto has become a family favorite for a couple reasons. First the food is delicious! I pretty much always get the Hibachi steak when I go there, but the prices are extremely reasonable for the portions and the quality of the food. The sauces that come also are delicious. It's less than $8 for... More

I've eaten here a few times now, and the quality is great, the service is quick, and it's very affordable!
