A must visit if you are traveling through. It can get hectic and loud in there, but what can I say. It is totally worth it and to be expected of such a wonderful experience.

If you come to the Chicagoland area, you must visit Portillo's! From the Italian Beef, to the salads to the OMG best chocolate cake, this is definitely a place you must add to your "Chicago dining list." The only thing I would say is choose another location other than this one. I have never gone to a restaurant and experienced... More

The noise is deafening. The cashier could not hear our order. There are 40 people talking at once behind the counter. Some may say that is the ambience. Others may say it's annoying. Busy and chaotic. Not fun in the end. The Italian Beefs are good. I played extra for peppers and got 2 small slices for an $8 sandwich.... More

My travel partner suggested we stop here for lunch. Wonderful Chicago dogs and decent fries to boot. I highly suggest that you try this Chicago chain out.

Portillo's is a Chicago institution and a must visit if you get the chance. They have a wide menu selection, but I always get the Italian Beef with the spicy peppers and extra sauce. It's probably a heart attack on a bun, but it sure is good!

Grab a cab and head over to this Chicago staple! They are famous for the Chicago style hot dogs, but to me the Portillo's beef sandwich with hot peppers (dipped!) is the best sandwich on the planet! If you've got a layover at O'Hare and TSA Pre approval, this is easy to fit in since it is so close to... More

This my first Chicago dog experience. The place was packed but the wait was minimal. I had the Portillo's dog all the way and a polish sausage. The sausagecame with mustard and was loaded with grilled onions. The peppers on the hot dog were not so spicy you couldn't enjoy the hot dog. I will definitely be back
