Kind of a throwback to a Supper Club, this place has great food. Primarily a steak place there are many other menu items to choose.

Not much else to say, delicious food, fantastic service, and a cozy atmosphere. Shocked when the bill arrived, an unexpected bargain. This place has been here forever and will continue due to its dedication to its customers and great food. Can't wait to be back.

Expected more menu items that were European. Schnitzel, Duck and roast pork were about it. Sides had more choices, sauerkraut, red cabbage, dumplings (the light bready kind) no spaetzle though. My trout was very good, had the bavarian sides: dumpling ok, kraut was tart and plentiful, loved it. Hubby's red cabbage was sweet w/o the clove flavors I'm used to.... More

Haven't been back to this restaurant for some time because of the smoky bar. Since smoking is not allowed anymore the restaurant is beautifully decorated in Old World German ambience. Had their Wienerschnitzel and was not disappointed. They have an extensive menu with a great beer selection. Everything from hamburgers to steak and great salads make this a great choice... More

We actually went for dinner to Mack's Golden Pheasant because we had read all of the reviews that talked about the German food, including spaetzle. What we didn't count on was that a lot of the German specials were for Oktoberfest and not in November. Located on North Ave., just west of 83, it is easily reached from eastbound North... More

Felt like a real local bar with a cozy environment. The menu was 50% German/ Central Europe and 50% All American. Highly recommended, not too expensive not too fancy, but cozy, especially the bar area.

I love the food at this place! It reminds me of childhood. Schnitzel is the best and the desserts are all made in house. The atmosphere is old and tired but the people and food make up for it. Even their hamburgers are the best. If you're in the mood for good food and a relaxed dining experience you will... More

I had the opportunity to have brunch today at Mack’s Golden Pheasant. It was amazing it had everything from Ribs & Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Breaded Pork Tenderloin and Dumplings, Biscuits and Gravy. Cooked to Order Waffles, Omelettes, Pacakes and French Toast. Then there is the treat table with homemade Kolachky, Chocolate cake, Red Velvet cake and a new feature... More

Mack's Friday night fish fry is one of the best around. The ambience of an "old school" dinner club is warm and relaxing. The service is great and they always keep your plate full of fish.

Great food options! The Czech beer was a great choice to go w/the dinner. The dumpling was more of a roll. I was expecting a knoedl. That said, save room for the fried cheesecake. That one was added & checked off the bucket list on the same day!
