The new Dave's is a quaint spot with their former location's fab food but on a smaller scale. Service is very personal, portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. It was great to find their new location

I don't know why the reviews are good but if you like Chef Boyardee or frozen food or fake Italian everything is watery service is really bad the place is really old it looks like you're going in a dungeon on your way down really...More
Uninspired, traditional Italian. Low prices for a reason. this has a a kind of following among older Evanston townies, but it has not kept up with the times. But if you just want a cheap, clean place for spaghetti, you'll be fine.
This basement restaurant is truly wonderful! The salads are huge and delicious! The pastas are amazing! They have the best gorgonzola pasta! So, so delicious!!!!
I had the "Eggplant parmesan" and hubby had the "Chicken Vesuvio". The eggplant parmesan was tasty and with a good portion and it was served with meat sauce; very yummy. Chicken vesuvio was good and tasty too, and not salty. You get 5% cash discount...More
LOVE LOVE LOVE Dave's for 36+ years now. Eggplant Parm is my go to. Great Minestrone, salads, bread, desserts!
I was here with my parents and siblings after an event in Evanston. I wasn't quite sure what we were getting in to when we had to walk down stairs and then went through some industrial like doors. When the doors opened, it was like...More
We remember this place when it was on Church Street. It is still a very good value for the quality and quantity of food you get. The BYOB is awesome way to reduce amount of the bill. Especially when there is no corkage fee!! When...More
Low cost, Italian American food. They have had the same menue forever. It is popular with both students and seniors. They offer pizza, pasta (I don't recommend pasta), good minestrone, and a variety of inexpensive wines.
We usually like to get carryout from here. The Lasagna Con Amore is excellent (note - nuts used in pesto). We also get the garlic bread and their canoli is great. We have always also enjoyed eating at the restaurant and get great service.
