Stopped in for lunch and had a very good experience. The Chicago hotdog with Vienna beef was perfect as well as the Gyro my son had. Food was prepared fast and delivered fresh and hot

That stretch of I-55N between St. Louis and Chicago is a wasteland of food, nothing but fast food joints, and not even many of them. Johnny's might be the only oasis in that desert. Their burgers and fries are good, gyros average, but their fried pickles are simply the best I've ever had anywhere. If the Blues Brothers were getting... More

Visiting relatives and hankering for an iconic Italian beef sandwich we were steered to this small restaurant with some inside seating and a pleasant patio. It's a order at the counter, plastic plate kind of place. We had two beef sandwiches...both generously served with lots of sweet and hot Gardinera as requested. I ordered mine with a grilled Italian Sausage... More

Accidentally found this place on a Sunday driving home from Chicago. They were closed, but the place looked good. Every time we would go to Chicago we would drive off at the side towns to try to find it again. We never could. So---we were staying at the Hampton on I-80 for a night and went driving around Joliet looking... More

I've been to this little gem of a place 4 or 5 times now since living in Joliet. I typically get the gyro combo, which is really good. The meat tastes excellent and the cucumber sauce is just perfect. Their fries appear to be homemade, but could really use salt. That's no big deal, though. I got the italian beef... More

Got the Greek salad and added gyro meat. Very satisfying, healthy, good quality ingredients. Looking forward to my next visit :)

I've been wanting to try this place for a while, since they have a souvlaki sandwich on the menu. Okay, I tried it. It was in late January 2016, outside air temperature of around 35 deg F. The inside was at least 67 or 68 deg F. We ate with our coats on. Maybe it was to keep the players... More

I work in a medical office. It was a busy day & we were hungry. Someone found a menu for this joint, made some copies & 7 of us placed our orders. Because this is the 21st century & everyone pretty much purchases everything with their debit card & no one ever has cash on them, we paid for 7... More
