We heard about the great family style chicken dinner at almost every winery we visited. We went to the lodge for our evening meal and it was okay, but certainly not anything we would go back for. The green beans were pretty over cooked, the...More

What an amazing staff. We didn't stay at the Lodge (this time) but used the grounds and visited the restaurant during our most recent jaunt down south. While the food is pretty typical of what you might except "lodge" food to be - filling, not...More

All you can eat fried chicken, dumplings, corn, green beans, biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy served by smiling friendly staff. You can go wrong stopping by this place. Can’t give it enough stars

We saw the less than flattering reviews but we forged ahead and we are glad we did. Our meal was fresh and hot and served quickly. We couldn't have asked for better service.

The Sunday night fried chicken was tasty and the salmon was very good. Prime rib was a disappointment but that was the only thing that didn't satisfy.

Had breakfast on a Saturday late morning. Food was nothing more than mediocre sadly. No one to sit us, had us wondering around. Just not enjoyable experience.

Had lunch here with some friends, they all recommended the chicken dinner, I must say I was a bit hesitant when people always say "the best chicken ever" but I must say, I was pleasantly surprised, the chicken, dumplings was amazing!!!!

First the lodge is enormous, built during the conservation corp years. The Sunday chicken dinners are legendary and a staple they are known by. Very good food with service and ambiance galore.

I don't think they allow pets. I am providing you with their phone number just to be sure. (618) 457-4921. They are there on the weekends, so you should get a response, if you call today.
