We went here as a family and I have to say I was very impressed, I had a pizza and it was perfect, it tasted good and there was nothing else I could ask for. However, when desert came round I wasn't very pleased. They brought a selection of desserts and the idea was you'd pick by looking at them.... More

I love this place, just down the lane from mum always a good excuse for Sunday lunch, where else to you find beef on carvery available in rare, medium and well done! And the sweet trolley is to die for. Al topped off with a lovely traditional atmosphere of a pub and welcoming friendly staff.

Sunday lunch after a walk on the common. Excellent service and food. Full of locals. The dessert trolly is to die for but not very good if you are on a diet.

Went here with a couple of friends. Great pizza. The scampi was disappointing - small portion and not many chips. Fresh fish is a nice touch on Saturday evenings. Coffee is very expensive

Great carvery lunch at the Woolpack today after an almost-spring walk on Thursley Common. Loads of different meats on offer (beef, lamb, pork, turkey and gammon), all really well cooked, plus a yummy-looking vegetarian option. Lovely veg (especially the red cabbage) and all the necessary sauces. And, the desserts are wheeled to the table on a trolley and are all... More

Saturday night at The Woopack is fish night. In addition to the usual menu a range of fresh fish is on offer with a choice of sauces. The food was extremely good and very reasonably priced considering my husband chose Lobster Thermidor, which he said was one of the best things he had ever eaten. However, the excellent service was... More

We are a traditional, family run, country pub, located in the heart of Elstead in south west Surrey. Originally a wool exchange dating to the 17th century, The Woolpack has been many things, including a butcher's shop and a bicycle repairer's, before becoming the pub it is today. We have recently completed a major refurbishment inside and out. Relax in our welcoming bar, admire the weaving shuttles and other remnants of the wool industry, dine in our restaurant or enjoy the spacious garden. Our menu features seasonal home-cooked dishes, offering both a bar and full restaurant menu. Fresh fish features heavily, although meat lovers will not be disappointed. We have a daily specials board, which you'll often find signature Italian dishes (courtesy of our Italian owners and chef Gina). The surrounding hundreds of acres of common land make the pub particularly popular with ramblers, whose tired feet can be warmed in front of the roaring fire. The Woolpack welcomes families and well behaved dogs and has adequate parking in front of the pub.
