Went for Sunday roast with the family, it was delicious. I would highly recommend it. The restaurant is right on the beach which is lovely. You can either sit outside or inside ,if you wish. I will be visiting again.

I had never heard of St Margaret at Cliffe before a recent visit to Folkstone, but my husband had done some research on local restaurants and found this little gem listed. What a lovely place - well hidden if you don't know where to look- and The Coastguard has a perfect position overlooking the Bay. We had Tuna steak and... More
A perfect spot to sit and enjoy a drink in the sunshine in a peaceful setting overlooking the Channel. Whilst we didn't eat this time, the food that we saw on neighbouring tables looked good. The pub has been recently refreshed as it was taken over by new owners not too long ago.
Just been refurbished by Shepherd Neame it is the same menu as the Zetland arms which is part of the group. Menu excellent with typical bar food and great beer including Whitstable Bay pale ale one of my favourites and child friendly
my daughter was due to fly back to new zealand having come over for her [57yr ] fathers funeral held two days before our visit here, this was my last meal treat for her before we took her to the airport. we were greeted by a lovely young barmaid who couldnt do enough to help us, but then we were... Returning to this pub as a special birthday treat we were expecting great food expertly cooked as on many previous visits. Unfortunately this was not the case and there has been a massive deterioration in the food and service. Having paid at the bar for simple battered cod and chips we waited for an hour to be told the food... More
Spent the day in the beautiful Dover with our family. Enjoyed a non-traditional Thanksgiving Dinner overlooking the beach. Food was fantastic in this quaint restaurant.
We go to the Coast Guard for the location, the reasonably priced pub grub but aware that it might be busy, you might have to wait, and the service therefore can be really slow. So this time for my boyfriend's birthday lunch, I booked a table for 2, inside the proper restaurant area with waitress service (not the pub side... More
This place is simply d-i-v-i-n-e! We arrived without booking. All of the tables were fully booked but they tucked us in on the side and made us feel welcome. We had a window where we could see the sea. The food is just lush and I sank my teeth into the biggest tastiest burger on the planet. Service is great.... More
This used to be a really nice pub and restaurant, specialising in great seafood and cheeseboards. It's been taken over by a brewery and "done up". The result is a short menu of kitchen friendly pub staples, with nothing much to excite and no seafood. There were a couple of fish specials, hence the 2 stars. Staff were disorganised, forgot...
