Stopped in for a coffee and bite driving from Paihia to Auckland. Place was clean and had a nice look, counter food looked decent although a small selection and only one cold item I could eat (everything else had tomato in it, which I can't but that tends to be the norm). Staff seemed confused when we tried to order... More

Found some fluffy grey mould like fuzz (refer to photo) while eating the sausage roll we had bought from the bakery. My mate took it straight up to the counter to show the staff and the four staff standing there just looked at her and just shrugged their shoulders and 1 even rolled her eyes. They just said "it's not... More

Unfortunately I can't say I rate this place really any more and we don't bother stopping. Their filled rolls are expensive and nothing special, the last time I had a chocolate croissant it was overcooked and not nice. I must say, they do do good coffee though.

The best coffee found anywhere north of Auckland, we make this a regular stop every time we go north, food is also excellent and staff friendly, only down side is they close every Monday and take a month off in February, but that's very Italian

We always call in whenever travelling north and are never disappointed. The range of home-cooked pastries, savories and breads seem endless, as well as delicious! Yesterday our eyes were bigger than our bellies and we made the mistake, whilst on a convenience stop, of leaving the dogs in the car with 1 x raspberry and white chocolate muffin and 1... More

We visit La Nonna every time we pass through Kaiwaka and are never disappointed. The food, coffee and service is always excellent. You must try one of their cream donuts they are to die for. But in saying that all the food is fresh and made daily and is hard to fault.

The food here is tops, the best cream doughnuts ever. All other food is of a high standard, worth a visit every time you pass thru Kaiwaka.

Needing to break the journey to Paihia up, we pulled in here to stretch the legs and grab something to eat. We caught them just in time as they were about to close up for the day so there wasn't too much of a selection but what we had was really nice.

Really delicious soft fluffy filled rolls I've had in years. Perfect stopping point to grab a bit to eat and a great coffee to stretch your legs. Will definitely stop here again as the ham & egg roll and croissants were super scrummy and fresh.
