My first visit to this establishment left me somewhat satisfied, but also disappointed. The restaurant is a sparsely decorated country themed place. The people are friendly enough. The menu is simple, which I like. I opted for eggs, country ham, biscuit with grace, and fried potatoes. Everything was good, except those fried potatoes - absolutely horrible. They were a greasy... Had the (Friday lunch special) beef & noodles without the mashed potatoes. They normally pile it on top of a mound of mashed potatoes. Many like it that way...my doctor doesn't. Delicious. Had a side of breaded tomatoes also delicious. Server kept the sweet tea coming. My guest had the fish sandwich with the breaded tomatoes..looked awesome. Check out the... More

Beef and noodles! You must try the beef and noodles - they are fantastic. Mashed potatoes are homemade, not instant. Homemade rolls. Service is good. There is also a menu to choose from, if you want sandwiches. Salad bar is a little weak.

Limited, but tasty brunch buffet. A little pricey for regular menu items and there's always such a crowd when we go, but they have some of the best fried chicken in the area. I've read some comments about rude or insensitive staff, which I haven't experienced in the slightest in the few times we've been there. Greeted with a smile,... More

I am a fan of their sunday buffet - the fried chicken is a big magnetic draw. If you happen to be there when the chicken is fried fresh, you're in for a treat with their succulent, aromatic, moist, freshly fried morsels of chicken meat. Served with country sides of either beef or chicken noodles, chicken liver (sometimes), fresh rolls,... More

A basic mid-American menu with few frills, this is off the chain restaurant path that is a neighborhood favorite and brings a few back for their fried chicken. My entre was fried cod which was well cooked with a crispy breaded crust. I love fries that are uniformly cooked, a bit crisp, and stay warm several minutes; McDonald's fries come... More

Stopped in and had the B and G with potatoes. Not bad. My wife had the beef and noodles with mash potatoes. Beef and noodles need a little more flavor but mash potatoes were great.

Service was quick and efficient. My tea glass was kept filled, this is always a plus. I had lunch and my husband had breakfast. We haven't been here in awhile and while it was good, it's usually much better. For breakfast, my husband had biscuits and gravy over potatoes. It was ok, but it had a ton of sausage in... More

Great home cooking that your Doctor probably would not approve of. Fried chicken, meatloaf, real mashed potatoes, gravy, liver & onions, chicken & noodles, home made rolls and apple dumpling w/ice cream. Don't come here if you're on a diet or vegan.

Went with my sister whilst on a visit from England. Really nice meal, the fried cicken was superb. I loved the home made bread rolls too and my wife had the chicken noodles. Big portions and the staff were great. Will go again on our next visit.
