Excellent food and service! Very nice people. Windows look out to historic downtown Vandalia. Lunch and dinner are both great!

Angie the owner has created a warm, welcoming atmosphere and is right there to make sure your experience is enjoyable. The dinner menu has an appealing variety of selections, my husband's favorite being the Chicken Almondine. We usually get the portabella mushroom appetizer that tastes similar to morel mushrooms. Don't pass this up unless you would rather consume the complimentary... More

We were wowed by this restaurant. The potato soup was the best I've ever had and the rest of our food was also delicious and the desert was fabulous. Not a place to go if you are in a hurry, but worth the wait!

This restaurant was highly recommended to us by locals when we were passing through town on a cross country trip. Very nice restaurant with warm charming decor. Food was very good, especially the flower pot bread served before dinner. Menu had good variety and desserts were yummy! Reasonably priced.

Had lunch at the Gallatin Street Grill with the family. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The fried mushrooms were delish. Staff was very friendly. Clean place. Loved the music. Would eat there again.

Stopped in for lunch and due to my gluten sensitivity I didn't have many options as mostly things were breaded and/or on bread. I do think their dinner menu (which I didn't get) must be much better as another table got lobster tails and based on the chalk board they sell beer ( Blue moon and Belgian ale). Starting with... We meet the owner she is super nice. The food is always wonderful. I get the parmesan chicken or the filet both are excellent. She has fabulous specials. My husband loves the blackened Tuna steak. My daughter feels comfortable to draw and loves the chicken tenders :)

We found this spot courtesy of TripAdvisor. It's not very close to I-70 so we wouldn't have found it if not for the good reviews it received. We agree with the past reviewers - a real gem in an historic old building. I had the salmon BLT and my husband ordered the lunch crab cakes. Both were excellent. For our... More
