You can't beat the CI hot dog. But did you know that they also have hamburgers/cheeseburgers that are fabulous? We just found out. The burgers are soaked in the same hot dog sauce that is put on the hotdogs. And very inexpensive-great for families on a budget who still want great food.

The old saying if it is not broke don't fix applies to this restaurant. It is not only a tradition in Fort Wayne it is a great tradition. It is unique part of our local culture.

We are graced with several coney shops here but this is the icon. Greek-style coney tradition. Great diner ambience.

Best place to go downtown for food. Nostalgic and takes you back to a simpler era. Plus there's usually no dumb hipsters stinking up the joint.

I had really considered 4 of 5 because the service is so-so, but the fact they are crazy busy most of the time and have never messed up my order... I've been going here a long, long time and ya, it's just a hot dog which I'm not even all that fond of, but when you get a coney dog... More

Fast, friendly, great prices and good coney dogs. A favorite stop when in town for lunch. Just kept ordering until they filled us up!

These are the BEST hot dogs ever. Coney Island has been in business since 1914. It is a small restaurant with limited seating that includes counter seating. The buns are steamed and the aroma of the place is wonderful. Depending on the timing of your visit you may have to stand in line but it is worth the wait.

My dad took me to Coney Island when I was a child. He had eaten there as a teenager when he played music in downtown bars during the Great Depression. The hot dogs are really quite good as is the chili soup. I go there at least once every time I visit Fort Wayne and I am not alone in... More

Nothing fancy but just down right the best Coney Dogs in the Fort Wayne area. Warm steamed buns, with just the right amount of toppings from Chili sauce to Onions. Old fashioned Coke bottles. Little bags of chips make this the perfect place to eat at an old fashioned counter seating, or metal tables from yester year. Like living &... More

Coney Island is a place of history in the fort and it holds onto that tradition well. From the old time tables to the belly up to the counter feel, the experience takes you back to the good old days. The small, old fashioned coke bottles with a straw to drink from really brings back memories. Had a couple coney's... More
