Very nice place and pleasant staff, but service is slow and the portions have become too small for the price.

Had both supper and breakfast at the Red Geranium, great on both counts. The Chicken Risotto was perfect. The dining room was quaint and homey. Had breakfast on the patio. It was very good and reasonably priced. Servers were pleasant and efficient. Highly recommend to...More

Had breakfast here on the patio. The food was good and so was the price. Beautiful surroundings. I especially appreciated being able to have my dog with me.

Saturday evening in New Harmony, Indiana. All is quiet, even in the main dinning room at the Red Geranium. Oh, don't misunderstand. The room is full, but the atmosphere is soft, easy and comfortable. Not the high noice level, or music so loud you can't...More

A popular place for locals, tourists and private parties. Enjoy the relatively extensive menu complete with outside seating to better appreciate the town of yesterday. Treat yourself to the Red Geranium and you'll be back again.

Yes, it's pretty much "the only game in town" for fine dining in New Harmony, but it would still fare well in a larger market. The cozy dining room hasn't changed much over the past 25 years (I've been there 6 times), and while the...More

From what I know, the restaurant recently secured a new chef. The food was delicious. I ordered the pecan crusted chicken which seemed to be a popular dish as I saw many other patrons eating the same meal. My husband ordered the ribeye which was...More

No, most everyone was dressed casual on this particular day. We have been there for dinner and some chose to dress more “business dress”. Sunday many have on there “church” attire.

Established in 1964, the Red Geranium Restaurant is one of the region's most charming and romantic restaurants. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Red Geranium Restaurant offers Seasonal American Cuisine and Midwest favorites. The restaurant also offers an extensive international wine list, and diners may enjoy three distinctively different dining rooms. The Main Dining Room captures the romance and Old World charm of the 19th Century. The Green Room offers comfortable benches and a cozy, casual atmosphere. Ornate hand-carved doors grace the entrance of the third room, the Tillich Room (named for philosopher, Paul Tillich). The dining area offers a panoramic, pastoral view of a serene lake. At night, the warmth of a large fireplace adds to the romantic setting of the room. We also have a patio for diners during late spring and summer hours.
