We visited here in January with another couple. It was cold out, and we had a seat near the fireplace, which felt great. The food was very good and the server was very attentive. We had appetizers before our meal, and with the portion sizes of the main dishes, the ladies took home some food for the next day.

The beer selection was good. No internet. Unlike some pubs the wait staff was modestly attired, a plus in my opinion. The real test is how... More
I visited this restaurant for the first time today with 8 members of my immediate family for New Year's Day Lunch. I ordered sweet tea, bacon and cabbage, and a cup of the guinness french onion soup. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. There are numerous smaller rooms to seat diners. The menu is superb. It is really difficult to pass up the fish and chips but don't sell the other dishes short. I have never had a bad, or even a poor, meal here. The prices are reasonable and parking is plentiful.
I love the corn beef and cabbage. The food is good and quick. I also enjoy the fish and at this time of year the beef stew. You gotta try the bread. It's wonderful!! I will always come back they are consistent.
