My wife is a friend of the woman who owns and operates this restaurant. It truly is a locally owned neighborhood small business. The menu is limited to traditional quick and cheap offerings and largely caters to the local Latino residents. Prices are probably better than reasonable and the service is quick on most nights. This is a genuine family... More
The atmosphere is very comfortable. As a group or as a single you always feel welcome. I have been there many times and the food is excellent every single time. I think it is very authentic and the staff is wonderful!
This is the place for the most authentic tacos in Michiana - very good indeed. Service is friendly and the food is very, very good. Not like the other places where they smother everything in melted cheese and butter. Not expensive - very good - I would just question the neighborhood especially at night..
Several of us ate at Tequeria Chicago and found the food to be very good. The portions are very generous and the prices seem reasonable. The location is kind of out of the way.
If in South Bend there is no finer authentic Mexican Food. I had the Carnitas Tacos with Rice and Beans ont he side. Went with the simple corn tortillas with Cilantro and Onions and the pork was deliciious. Had the Flan for dessert to top off the meal. My girlfriend went with the burrito and we both enjoyed the meal.... More
Authentic Mexican food at a very affordable price. The location is somewhat sketchy and the atmosphere is nothing special but, again, the food is quite tasty. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a more authentic Mexican experience.
I go often to Taqueria Chicago and i do agree it does need a new look but the food is amazing!!! I think it's the perfect place to go to for REAL mexican food.
The place is ok, good atmosphere, but the food although has home made taste, it needs better taste and some more cleanliness! the place is not the most attractive of all! I would still recommended for the value. If you ca afford something more expensive I definitely try the next level.
