On a recent trip to the Mayo Clinic my wife and I stopped and ate at the Family Table. We both enjoyed our meals. We had the pot roast and grilled tilapia. We enjoyed the homemade pies very much. The service was good and friendly. My wife is in a wheel chair and we found this place to be wheel... More

Nothing special, really. Typical breakfast fare. Service was good, but the place has no window coverings, so be prepared to be blinded by the sun if you sit on the east side. Homemade pies looked delicious. Prices seemed high ... just under $10 for two eggs over easy, hashbrowns, toast and hot tea.

Meet and potatoe kind of place. I ordered breakfast and wouldn't say I was the best I've ever had but I wouldn't call it bad either. Service is always good here too.

We stopped for gas in Decorah and asked the clerk for a recommendation for breakfast. She recommended "Family Table". The parking area had lots of vehicles when we pulled in, which is always a good sign. The food was good, the price reasonable and the service fine. We had to wait a few minutes since the place was full. If... More

Had a nice family get together with the whole crew. There are 7 of us and it was easy to find a spot to fit us. Nice children's menu with choices and a great daily special. They also have a variety of pie and cake. Service is adequate. Restaurant is clean. The food is alright. Think inexpensive home cooking. Will... More

Basic home cooking. We were there at 10:30, but some of us ordered lunch. For those of us who aren't fans of 'breakfast food', we were able to order lunch. Home cooking type of menu. Reasonable prices. Friendly service.

After checking out the Decorah Eagles at the Decorah Fish Hatchery, we were searching for a breakfast locale. The Family Table parking lot was filled with cars at 9:30 am, so we stopped in (a full parking lot usually means a great place). We waiting only 3-4 minutes for a table and then enjoyed excellent customer service and the best... More

Sunday morning in Decorah you have convenience store or this for breakfast. Nothing fancy on the menu. Three eggs easy and bacon crispy and you're out the door inside of 15 minutes. Perfect in and out. Also for the budget oriented it is cheap.

So, when my husband asked for biscuits "swimming in gravy" they delivered. Dude needed a spoon! The parking lot was full, we had a bit of a wait, but this locally owned place is a gem for Decorah. If you want "Nothing Fancy Just Good Food", as the sign says, this is the place.
