Great place to grab lunch or dinner close to the airport and downtown. Food is good, beer is cold and the service is friendly.

Small place and always busy but very friendly. The best thing is their food, never had a bad meal there. Last time in it was crowded but they quickly found a place for us to sit down and order. Service was great as usual.

We ate hear with a large group in town for youth sports. There was both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is pretty limited--mostly American fare bar & grill food. It is obvious that this place focuses on quality rather than quantity on their menu selections. The people sitting near me in our large group all said their food was... More

My sister and I went here for lunch for the first time and it was great. I got a berry Moscow mule and we both got the cheddar bacon burger so delicious will definitely come back.

The sandwiches are large enough to share and the peppy waitresses are amenable to splitting entrees and providing optional sides. Homey sports bar and great place for lunch.

Stopped in mid afternoon on Wednesday and the place was busy, got a table right away people had a wide range of food, from nachos, hot wings(very good), and sandwiches. They have a nice selection of craft beers, yes you can find bigger selections at other places, but Im telling you these people maximize and give great product and service... More

Flight delays, hungry with time to Kill we stopped here for a late dinner. I had breaded tenderloin & husband had Grinder(sausage sandwich), both delicious and was amazed how fast food arrived. Loud, dim lights but it's a bar, waitress was great and best of all we watched the Hawkeye basketball game

Francie's is popular sports bar on the south side. It's just a bit hard to find as it sits off of the main street, but it's worth looking. Sandwiches are good. Always a crowd which may mean having to wait, but it also means a fairly noisy place.

After a few hours running errands in Des Moines we decided to go to Francie's for a couple drinks and dinner. We arrived at about 8:00 P.M. on a Cubs playoff night, but only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. The greeter and waitress were friendly and acted like we were friends. Our drinks arrived quickly, and... More
