The place is a hole in the wall ..... That being said food was definitely good . Service was good and overall atmosphere was good. Hometown type place. If your a clean freak dont go but not a nasty place at all . I would recomend to others

The food, basic American fare, was quite good. It seemed a little low-staffed, or maybe it was just the server we had that didn't seem too happy with her job... But the price was good.

Good place to go. I really enjoy there breakfast. The only downfall is that sometimes it is not open when you go.

We visited this restaurant while we were in town visiting my son. It was a bit of a difficult situation and this place made us feel so at home, it was a haven for a couple of hours to talk and catch up. The food was excellent - homemade, great portions, and delicious. Not much to look at outside, but... More

Best Rubin I have ever had and more food than I could eat on my own. Not to mention CHEEP. Well done people!

Pleasant environment. Place is getting updated currently. I have had only breakfast and it it good. Good service and fast service. Reasonably priced. Cook is flexible as to offering what you want. A good place to meet and have coffee or sit back and read a book.

If you are a lover of non chain restaurants like I am. And always go for the hole in the wall mom and pop type places. This is your dream spot. It took some walking as the street out front was torn up. But it was worth it. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was wholesome and... More

This used to be a good place to eat 20 years ago. We had a bad experience there about 10 years ago with the service then didn't go back until recently because the restaurant in Hamilton burnt down. I don't know how you can mess up scrambled eggs, but they pulled it off. My wife's eggs were watery and mine... More

I don't know where everyone else has been eating. had a great experience. I like others had the Harold and it was delicious. Well priced. Prompt friendly service. Like the rest of Keokuk the decor comes up a little short. That is a fair trade for the rest of the experience. Also best biscuits and gravy in town.
