This was a neat old hotel turned into a restaurant and other businesses. Menu was extensive and reasonably priced. Service was superb. Waitress cheerfully split meal for teenage girls. Loved the round table they put our group of nine. Much easier to converse with the whole group. Food was very tasty, but servings were large. This restaurant was recommended my... More

Historic Italian restaurant that was here long before the franchises came to town. Love the lasagne. Very thick with lots of tasty sauce. Also enjoy the pizza. Very tasty and original. My favorite traditional Italian restaurant in Waterloo. I've been coming here since the 1970's so yeah this place is a real treat.

Had the veal marsala, cut it with a fork. Wait staff is super. Still hands down the best restaurant in Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. Keep up the standard you've kept for many years, thank you.

This is a nostalgic place to eat in the downtown Waterloo district. Great food and atmosphere. Fast Friendly wait staff to host your family or business outing. Their tops for their lasagna dinners here but have much more to serve you than that.

Was here Sunday after a concert at UNI campus. Everybody in our group enjoyed their meals and we had great service. Interesting old building where the restaurant is located and the ambience inside is terrific.

First time at the downtown Waterloo location. Great old hotel building. Dinner of Veal Marsala was different but good, I have never had veal served over a cheese base but it was different, tasty and good. Wine selection was fun, creamy garlic salad dressing was good too. Service was efficient and fun.

We enjoyed a great meal as a family at The Brown Bottle in downtown Waterloo. While the area seems a bit questionable, we were pleasantly surprised to find great service, good wine and great food. My husband and I split a "date night combo" for $35 which came with bruschetta (enough for all four of us), a salad, entrees and... More

I just went there for a family event. (My grandmother's 101st birthday) and she loves the lasagna. The soup has always been really good, and this time, I tried the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were huge, and that cocktail sauce was perfect. A little heat, but not too much. Everyone there enjoyed their meals, which is why we go there... More
