This restaurant is an excellent choice for people who appreciate great food and historic building renovations. The menu includes a delicious variety of food choices for breakfast and lunch. I have not eaten dinner, at Newton's but have heard the dinner menu is equally enticing! I highly recommend the tenderloin sandwich which is an Iowa specialty. The sandwich easily feeds... More

Thick, hot, juicy, so big we shared and still had leftovers. We have to stop whenever we go thru Waterloo. I had a fresh crisp spinach salad, yummy!

Love the burger. Believe it's the angus burger. Didn't care for the Parmesan fries tho (quite dry & tasteless) but environment is chill and relaxed. Pricing isn't that high and is affordable too. Friendly service so far for the few times I've visited.

Stopped on a Saturday AM and was busy. Ordered Classic Breakfast and Biscuits & Gravy with slow service. Sausage patty was overcooked and biscuits TOO big with white sauce and no sausage in gravy. Waitress was friendly and took good care of us. We noticed that when cleaning the tables there was a lot of uneaten food going to waste.... More

Wow normal this is a great little restaurant. It still is but we had lunch we ordered sandwiches and the bread had been toasted rock hard. We had to send them back. I have never had to do that at this restaurant before. The waitress was so apologetic. We were not the only table send food back. Well hopefully there... More

My first impression was this was a very busy place, inside and outside, dinners were everywhere. I am not sure if they accept reservation but better to get there early and get ready to wait. The waiting was not bad because we got a table within 15 minutes. The food was okay and the service was good considering that the... More

while visiting the granddaughter at college, we were out driving around Cedar Falls and lost when we drove by this cafe. It looked interesting so we stopped to try it out. It had seat inside and out and both areas were very clean and comfortable looking. The menu was somewhat limited but did have something for everyone and breakfast all... More
