A smallish restaurant in a small town. It was a Friday night around 9:00 when we got there. It was crowded with farmers and ranchers. The steaks were huge and well seasoned. A large fillet was $30 with choice of sides. Excellent, unexpected.

I live an hour away and have heard about Ed's for years. We finally made it. I was extremely disappointed. It was a Saturday night, there were four or five other tables when we arrived. The food took FOREVER to arrive, much in part due to the size of their steaks and the length of time they took to cook.... More

I try to make it down there about 6 times a year. The steaks are amazing. I'd recommend going on a Friday or Saturday since that's when they have their prime rib. (A 32 ounce prime rib is a big chunk of meat) I also like their ribeye. The only downside is the wait sometimes on weeknights. One time it... More

I heard about this place from coworkers.went one evening after a trio out of town. These are monstrous Size steaks.I had a wonderful sirloin Chargrilled or woodgrilled whatever they call it. EXCELLENT,tender and flavorful. Nothing special about the sides, salad IS served on plate with your steak. The steak is a work of art so who cares??? The price is normal... More

We were in the area doing some hunting and had read about this place on a hotel review. We drove to Bird City to eat here and was not disappointed. Seeing them cut the steak fresh off the rib and putting it on the grill right there told me that they care about quality.

Once again found ourselves near Bird City at supper time so we had to stop to see if it was as good now as it was when we stopped in 2011. The simple answer is "YES". The exterior looks better with new siding and a new sign. Inside seemed brighter and cleaner than I recalled. Much nicer inside with no... More

Oh My Gosh! This is a little country western bar with the best cut of steaks. They are extremely thick and juicy and they melt in your mouth. Be careful how you request them to be cooked. Go down a notch. The drinks are not fancy, no mint leaves, or limes and lemons. Stick to regular bar drinks or beer.... More

This place gets a lot of hype. It's a fun environment! But the food takes forever! I didn't think it was worth the wait but it's the best steak around so whatcha gonna do?

No place better. Steaks cooked perfectly every time. Just as good as any steaks you will find anywhere. Sides are average, but who cares? Go for the beef!
