Firs time salted my porter house steak so Much could not taste the Steak. Second time ordered a Strip Cooked medium no seasoning. Outside of my strip was burn't so bad it was hard. The cooks are the poorest I have ever seen in the United States. First time February next time March 2017

Jim's steak house has been a favorite place to go for a steak in SE Kansas for at least the last 40 years. You might have a long wait to be seated, but it's well worth the wait.

This was my first of what will be several trips to Jim's Steak House. It was a Friday night and we arrived a little after 7. I was a little taken aback by the number of people waiting to be seated, and was told the wait was 30 minutes. We took a chance and waited with the others. When we... More

This is a classic Chicago style steakhouse. We visited on a Saturday night & waited in the bar for about 45 minutes before being seated. Unfortunately, our party of 4 was sat in half-circle booth that was better suited for a couple & not a foursome. We ordered the onion rings for an appetizer, but barely had room for the... More

If you're wanting great steak, this is the place. Good getaway from the chain restaurants and steaks are awesome.

Jim's has very good beef from large juicy hamburgers to very tender , sirloin tips and all types of steaks. It has been open for about 70 years. There is a full bar with inexpensive wine for your meal.

My family and I went on a Saturday evening (bad choice). The hostess said the wait would be 40 minutes, she told every party that came in 40 minutes no matter how many were in the party. We questioned them after waiting over an hour. They got snippy and said they could fit us into a space for four but... More

Hard to believe but the sirloin tips are the best they have, even better than the ribeye and it's delicious. The tips are very tender and it's hard to believe they are sirloin and only via 15$. The onion rings are a must have as well. If you're by your self or someone else get the small. Portion sizes are... More

I ate at this restaurant Friday evening. We arrived early and were seated immediately. My brother and his wife joined us. We all had sirloin tips and onion rings as an appetizer. None of us were able to finish the sirloin tips. The portions were huge and the meat was cooked to perfection. My wife ordered a house wine that... More
