Great atmosphere friendly service and lovely food Great place Traditional pub with great choice of meals and drinks

A group of us visited, great selection of ales on bar. Had a lovely meal steak cooked perfectly. Would recommend... have a sweet tooth try treacle tartlet. Lovely layout and atmospheric place.

Visited today for Lunch. A warm welcome from a friendly Landlord and Landlady, lovely decor,open fires etc. Nice friendly locals and good food. Will return again.

Closed again. Hopefully somebody can make a go of this place. After so many managers/tenants one has to have doubts

There have been several bad reviews recently which all seem to have been removed by someone. Why? This is meant to give a balanced view by people who have been there not some false picture by people who have plainly not.

Why would you travel 9 miles from Shrewsbury to Ruyton for fish and chips?? Plenty of choice in Shrewsbury itself, so I do not believe you at all. Made up post .

We are fortunate enough to sit right in the middle of some outstanding countryside with fantastic producers & suppliers on our doorstep, we do our best to source locally & make the most of all they have to offer . Don't miss out on everyone's highlight of the week on Friday from 5pm 'till gone, Joule's complimentary sausage rolls- sourced from our friends at Fordham Farm who look after our herd of Joule'so Happy pigs fed off the brewery's spent grain. Tuesday to Saturday light bite menu 12-5 Full menu 5-9 Sunday dinner menu 12-4 ( carvery coming soon February 2017) Premises taken over by new tenants as of the 1st of December 2016, kitchen opened by them on 13/01/2017
