We love Romney's, we went for the first time on Valentine's Day and the dinner was spectacular. We went back in today for regular dinner menu entrees. I had the lamb chops with the steamed broccoli and the panko crusted baked potato. Absolutely spectacular. The ambience is peaceful and very homey. I'm surprised we were able to get a dinner... So, the short story? I had the "special", a 16 oz. bone on cowboy cut rib-eye. I can't say it was a hands down victory, but I don't remember the former title holder for "best rib-eye I have ever eaten". Fantastic cut, cooked to medium rare, closer to rare, perfection just like I asked for it. Sides were grits (excellent)... More

We drove a good 40 minutes to this place because of the reviews. The food was good I a not saying it didn't "taste" good but I asked for Medium Plus filet mignon. First he said "we don't do that!" If you dine at 5* places they should know not only how to make it or at at list know... More

We visited today for Valentine's and it was absolutely amazing. The meal and service were absolutely outstanding. It was apparent every piece of the meal had been thought out and planned by some type of genius, the way all of the flavors paired with each other just wormed so perfectly. So happy we were able to get a seating, we... More

Yes, Rodney's commands a premium price, but you get what you pay for. I traveled to Lexington from Wisconsin in 2016 and happened into Rodney's, not expecting anything special. I was blown away. I had the Beef Wellington, and it was incredible. Venturing into the South, I had a side of grits, and a top shelf bourbon to go with.... More

Last Thursday five of us had a great night at Rodney's. The food was excellent... Rodney spent a great deal of time with us and made sure we were all comfortable. The bar had a great mix of people and the skills of the bartender were top notch. The food from the appetizers to the entrees were all on point.... More

Rodney's has a great concept, upscale food in a town with above average income. We dined and found the appetizer...escargot, as average at best and lukewarm. We did see it travel through the dining room as it appears another server took it by mistake. The entrees we okay but nothing I would say we'd go out of our way for.... More

Excellent cuisine from Chef Rodney. Attentive, professional service by a dedicated team. Our regular "going out for dinner" place.

We just went to this restaurant tonight and it was amazing! We are here on business from Boston. Since we truly have the freshest seafood from our area, I was very hesitant to order the seafood here. However, it was SO good! Just as good as any restaurant on the ocean from our area! I would definitely recommend Rodney's to... More

A year ago, we ended up at Rodney's because a very nice lady at the front desk of the Hampton Inn said it was the best place to go for a fine, comfortable dinner. We went. She was right. We sat at the smallish but well appointed bar and had a first-rate meal. No recollection of what we ate, except... More

month. The old house has been renovated and is just lovely for an upscale dinner at a reasonable price point. Entrees are served with a choice of soup, salad or sweet and range from $15 - $20. Appetizers range from $5. - $9. We had the crab cakes to start - the sauce was lovely but the crab cake was on the cold side. The Bourbon Barrel Salmon was outstanding but my lamb special was served less than warm, a overdone for my liking - when speaking with the server, she went back to the kitchen and I was told this was the last of the lamb needed more au jus or some mint sauce to complement. Upon request for mint sauce they brought out the chefs homemade special steak sauce. It was wonderful! It went well with the roasted lamb. The roasted vegetables were delicious albeit just warm.
