We love this place! It's like taking a little trip to Cuba. Take your time, breathe in the atmosphere and enjoy the wait. The food will be wonderful but the total experience even better!

Stayed in Lexington for a night. Found this gem on TA. What fantastic Cuban food. We had the Chicken and veggies and the Beef and veggies. Both awesome! Black beans and rice were included as well as fried plantains. Also the best Cuban bread I have ever had. It almost looks like a small Cuban grocery store. No frills order... More

We found this place on TA and thought it looked interesting. It did not disappoint. Don't be alarmed when it is in a strip mall and doesn't look like much but it is great. A husband and wife own it and work there. The empanadas are some of the best I have ever had. My husband had a traditional cuban... More

Last month we went to another Cuban place which was terribly disappointing, while visiting Lexington. This place is a gem. The couple who owns it are extremely lovely and caring and the food is made with love. The beef empanadas were amazing! We both had the pork chops with rice and beans. I can't wait to come back next time... More

Slightly odd but with great Cubano sandwiches. I've eaten these both in the restaurant and as take out and they have always been great.

If you are in a rush, Old San Juan isn't the place for you... BUT... it is completely worth the wait! The food is fresh and delicious. A must try in Lexington!

Had the Cuban sandwich.. It was just OK.. It was a lot of bread with very little meat on it. The order of fried sweet plantains were large chunks but tasted good. I spent 18$ on this sandwich and sides .. The food was not anything especial the restaurant has no atmosphere and the service was not at a high... More

We stopped by late one evening for dinner and were pleased at the food options and the wonderfully authentic cuban food. The chicken sandwich was well seasoned and the maduros were delicious. I had the rice, beans and eggs dish and it was definitely what I grew up with so I will definitely be back in the future. The cafe... More

But I know how to identify food I really like. And I think I know when it is well prepared.I really like this well-prepared food. The owners are super-friendly and helpful. Each and every dish we have ordered over half-a-dozen trips has been right at the top of what I think it could have been if it were perfect. The... More
