Visiting friends in Lexington and wanted to pay back their hospitality. They suggested Nick Ryan's as a place they had heard about but had yet to visit. Parking was a challenge on a Thursday night and we ended up on side street a few blocks away. The wait staff had recommendations on not only the food, but also the cocktails.... More

We stopped into Nick Ryan's today about 3:00 p.m. because we were out walking the historic district and the delicious smells called to us. They were still serving lunch, which was actually a money saver since the prices are lower on the lunch menu than the dinner menu for the same items. I ordered the shrimp and grits with red... More

Couples gathered for a great meal with very good service. Grits were nice. Nice atmosphere with attentive servers but not hovering. Try a dessert or two, if you have room

I love to go to Nick Ryan's when in Lex. I have gone with many friends and everyone likes it. Lots of variety on the menu so something for everyone. Good cocktails as well. My favorite is the Southwest Salad.

We wanted southern cooking for our visit to Lexington. This is a great place for it. Several bourbon drinks on the menu. For dinner we had the hot brown and fried chicken. Warm ambiance for a cold early spring night. Perfect night out.

The pork chop and grits were wonderful!! I could eat my weight in their grits. The asparagus was very bland.

Internal debate with myself about reviewing Nick Ryan's because I don't know that I want to spoil my secret new fave place! It's hard to find places that serve actual dinner after 9pm that are NOT fast food or chain restaurants, but we were one of 3 tables well taken care of by both the server and bartender on a... More

Amazing!!! Locally owned with an amazing variety of food. Great bartender named Joe who made my bourbon drink exactly how I wanted it!!! Dinner was mussels and can't do spice so the chef deleted the crushed red pepper and they ended up to being fantastic!!!! Great service, great location and well worth stopping on Jefferson St in Lexington!!!! No matter... More

The fried chicken was perfectly done. Reminded me of Sunday afternoons at my Grandmother's home as I was growing up. Everyone in the party raved about their choices. The wait staff was on top of everything and the restaurant has a very down home feel to it. I am looking forward to going back and trying some of their other... More
