It is one of my favorite places in lexington. The food is really good and has a very good beer tab selection. I do recommend to get there with time or make a reservation because it gets crowded pretty fast!

so we went there for Valentine night for a late dinner. the place is nice & food was average. But the servant was totally unhappy for some reason, she was slamming the dishes on the table! with no smile on her face. We ordered soup for my wife and when we got the food the soup was not there. So,... More

The whole experience last night at this restaurant was terrific. We were seated in the bar, our choice, and welcomed by our very nice waitress Andrea. She even turned down the music a little as we were seated under a speaker and we thought it was too loud. The menu was very interesting and would have enjoyed trying many of... More

Three of us came for dinner. The service was great. My son-in-law had a hamburger and loved it. The other to dinners we ordered were okay. Nothing bad, but a little overpriced. With drinks it became very expensive. Next time, I would just have drinks, maybe an appetizer and then go somewhere else for dinner.

I was with a large group, and we found ourselves wanting to try nearly everything on the menu. So we ended up ordering a bunch of their many appetizers and didn't regret it. The fried pimento cheese balls were gooey and delicious, and the brussels sprouts were simply amazing. We ended up ordering a second portion of those. The fries... More

Very creative and extensive menu. We had five in our party and not a bad order amongst us. All the dishes were well prepared and delicious. I ordered the duck confit over waffles with candied jalapenos and sweet syrup. Duck confit was prepared perfectly which complemented this variation on the classic fried chicken and waffles. A must try. They also... More

There is a terrific selection of excellent burgers, including the burger of the day. The fries are lightly spiced and the smoked catsup is incredible. The place is usually packed, so be prepared to quaff a few beers at their 2 bars while you wait. Great local joint and well worth a trip.

Had my third meal at The Village Idiot and again, it did not disappoint. Mixed it up a bit and didn't order the "Idiot Burger" this time. Instead I ordered the B.E.L.T, aka Bacon, Egg, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich. Great bar comfort food here with small twist on classic fare. Lots of craft beers to choose from and plenty of... More
