Some of the best dessert I have had in a long time. Be prepared to stare at their variety of choices for a while as a decision is not easily made. Free parking is available behind the business.

First let me say that as a longtime customer of Homemade Ice Cream & Pie Kitchen I have never had this problem before. But when you pay almost $2 apiece for a chocolate chip cookie it should not taste like raw cookie dough. Since we were pressed for time to see Steve Martin and Martin Short we did not have... More

Take my review with a grain of salt: I am not a dessert person. Went here with family. Impressive assortment of pies and ice creams to choose from. Had a bite of coconut cream and pecan pies. Pecan pie was pretty okay but the coconut cream was definitely not the best I'd ever eaten.

Lovely pie, cake, cookies and homemade ice cream. Our group of 8 loved every sweet thing that they tried. Recommend for a quick afternoon break.

I visited late after the deli was closed so no feedback on lunch. Pie selection was good plus you can choose any ice cream flavor available to go with your pie.

Thank you Rufus for your review. Thanks for the compliments on our pies and ice cream! We are sorry the cafe was closed, it closes before the dessert portion of the store. I was hungry and the memory of a pimento cheese sandwich several years ago drew me into The Homemade Pie and Ice Cream Shop. Unfortunately they no longer have the sandwich I remembered, but they had Tuna which is a favorite of mine. I got the combo with a bag of chips and a drink. The tuna was runny, more... More

They had a great selection of pies. I had the banana cream and coconut. Excellent meringue and crust very tasty. Plenty of fruit pies also.

We made a quick stop in Louisville during a road trip and picked this poor excuse of a deli. The restaurant is disgustingly dirty, they were out of breads and only had one kind of cheese. All tables were dirty, restrooms had trash pile up and floors were horribly dirty. DO NOT EAT HERE.

As tempting as the pies and baked goods looked, I had to have the ice cream. It was on the softer side, like it had just been made. They have several fun flavors and the portions in the waffle cone are generous. So good I had to go back a second day while in the area.
