My husband had picked out the restaurant for us to go to while visiting Louisville. The guy serving us was hesitant about what we ordered if we'd not had it before. Told him we are adventurous and like different things. Boy was it Great!! So Glad we're adventurous.

Very good food - lunch line is out the door at noon. An unusual mix of Etheopian, Indian, and Caribbean with a little Mexican tossed in too. I really love the Etheopian vegitarian lunch plate - and the Athenian Chicken is great too.

I got take out for lunch from Addis today for the first time. I ordered the Chicken Kabobs w/veggies and an Iced Mocha. I opened the boxes and thought to myself how many people did I order for! The portions are enough to have two to three meals from this. The taste of everything was excellent including the coffee. I... More

I come here on my lunch break quite often and the food is always really good. I have gotten the falafel wrap, chicken quesadilla, and the chicken curry. The Chicken Curry is my favorite. The decor inside isn't anything special but the food is authentic and good!

I love this restaurant! They offer both Ethiopian and some Mediterranean dishes for highly reasonable prices. In the past year or so, the restaurant has doubled in size due to a renovation expansion. The owner and his wife mostly run the restaurant with hardly any other help. So, sometimes the service might be a little slow, but OMG the food... More

Visit a couple of times per month during lunch. Always get the chicken curry. Comes with a small salad, white rice and hummus. The hummus is the best I've had. Curry is a brown curry versus orange. Spiced just right. Comes with 3 to 4 big chunks of tender chicken breast.

Went on recommendation from TA and really enjoyed my lunch. The food came out promptly and was a very generous portion. This was my first experience eating Ethiopian food so I ordered the sampler platter to get a taste of many things. The only reason I don't give this 5/5 is that some of the items on the platter were... More

Don't let the "lunch" atmosphere deter you. The owner / chef has created an amazing menu of vegan and meat Ethiopian and Mediterranean cuisine. The very complete bar is attached but tonight it was just a fabulous meal with our family in downtown Louisville. The chef said her Chana masala was the best and she was right. Take a chance... Great Mediterranean and Ethiopian restaurant. I had the chicken kabob which came with hummus and a salad. Delicious! The place is a local dive but served great food. You place your order at the counter, pay, find a table. The food was delivered to our table. Healthy fast food.

Found this place near my hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It's not a fancy place, and many people come here for take out, but you can eat in and there are tables. They have Mediterranean and Ethiopian food and a nice selection of vegetarian options, which I had. I had a plate that included... More
