We met for lunch with our friends yesterday as we have done a couple of times before. The atmosphere was perfect with a busy bar and restaurant. The Christmas decorations are contemporary and stylish and gives the place a "feel good" factor for the time of year. Three of us opted for the rack of lamb which was cooked to... More

Recently moved to Pangbourne. Dinner on Saturday night and lunch on Wednesday. Both excellent meals with first class service. Think I have found my new local restaurant.

We visited today walkin off the street no booking we asked if there was room for two, the young man behind the bar was checking if he could sqeeze us in as it was fully booked, when a very well polite gentleman asked if he could help us in anyway, we think this was the owner. Fingers crossed I said... More

Arrived without booking. Missing our original destination. There were two of us and there was a table available. Food choice was good and service prompt. My husband ordered the prawn and salmon as a main and I had roast beef, followed by cheesecake and coffee. Drinks half a Guinness and appletize. Food arrived a lot quicker than expected and the... The food was good. There were fine wines available but the house wine was a simple Sicilian (Pieno Sud Bianco) that went down a treat. The service very friendly and helpful. One of our party was local which might have influenced things but we had a long, leisurely, amusing lunch that left a warm positive feeling. I would be happy... More

So, you are 100+ miles from home, you take a wrong turn at Pangbourne knowing that it is time for lunch and a pub/restaurant looming on the horizon would be a most welcome sight..........and, bingo!..... after paying a 60p toll to cross the bridge over the Thames, you quickly reach The Ferryboat Inn. It is a little after midday on... More

We were visiting friends on a boat nearby and decided to have Sunday Lunch here, the staff were so very friendly and welcoming it was a pleasure to eat here. The lunch i found to be good value at £11.95 each and the food was very well served and very hot. The only very minor issue was the veg served... More

We booked early and walked over the toll bridge from Pangbourne (parking can be easier in Pangbourne ) and our table was waiting for us. The staff are attentive and the menu should provide something for everyone to enjoy. There is a specials board that adds a little variety for regulars. Food is cooked to order so there can be... Friendly service. Staff genuinely care that you're enjoying your meal. Good pub food, all the classics with a bit more than average variety on the menu. Generous portion sizes, so pretty good value given this and it's location. Welcome children and do smaller portions. Nice atmosphere. We had a lovely meal here and will be visiting again :)

Food was amazing, absolutely delicious. Brilliant service and lovely staff. Definitely recommend, but probably need to book. Pub is beautiful, very nice decor. Landlord is good fun, and staff all joined in the banter. We had a great evening and will definitely be back. Loved it, best pub in the area!!
