Stopped in here for lunch, well actually breakfast, but it was 12 noon. Had the breakfast medley, large plate of eggs, bacon, biscuits with sausage gravy, fried potato chunks, and seems like something else but hard to remember now. The taste of everything was to die for. And there was so much food packed onto this plate I couldn't finish... More

I rank this place 4+. I stopped for a carry out dinner while traveling on business and ordered a cocktail while waiting. Such a charming place and friendly and attentive staff. My martini was so-so, but the food was delicious! I ordered the chicken liver appetizer and salad to take back to my hotel. Both were top quality. A return... More

What a neat place to go and eat! We had the huge plate of cheesy fries and they were great! The waitress was super friendly and the price was right!

The food is always delicious but come hungry, you will clean your plate. Beer cheese is great as is poutine.

Every time I've been, I've enjoyed the food. The service is always great. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because it has a somewhat limited (and odd) menu. I would recommend looking it up before you go. The pork nachos, Rufus sandwich and meatball sub are all very good. I love their homemade chips as well. It's really small,... More

While in town a colleague and I dined at the Engine House. It is a local dive that offers tasty local food that has flare. We enjoyed the beer cheese chips, and I must say their beer cheese is delish! Not too much bite to it, but yummy with their fresh chips. I enjoyed a delicious flatbread chicken and bean... More

Got a cabin in the Red River Gorge for the weekend and decided to go here Saturday evening. Two adults and two kids (9 and 11) First thing is that they have a good craft beer selection. Which is not the norm for this area of the country. Food was good. I had the beef medallions and my wife had... More

A unique spot to go in downtown Winchester. The Beer Cheese Chips are excellent! Definitely NOT your average pub food. Unique menu that is creative and delicious. Staff are very attentive / friendly. Service is excellent! You can tell they want you to enjoy every minute of your meal / experience. We've had 4 or 5 meals there this year... More

We have had lunch several times at this deli & pub in downtown Winchester. The menu is somewhat limited, but we have always found great options. Most recently I had their Cubano, which is excellent, and my husband enjoyed an Italian meat sandwich. Their house-made chips are great, as are other side salads. They have a number of regional craft... More

The Engine House Deli+Pub was opened in June 2015. The location is the site of Winchester's original fire house which is evident in the beautiful arched glass window which acted as the garage where horse-drawn, water tank carriages were pulled in and out. This site also acted as the first Mayor's Office and Public Library. Ambiance is warm and comfortable with nods to the history of the building as well as more contemporary, trendy lighting and decor and 4 larger televisions (most regularly displaying requested sporting events). Food offerings include original sandwiches and plates with fresh, local and scratch-produced ingredients/components. Salads, soups and desserts are also delicious and well thought out. The full bar celebrates local and regional craft beers with 10 taps. Inexpensive wine offerings and a selection of well, call and craft spirits focusing on upwards of 9 KY Bourbons. Please come let us serve you. Our staff is down-home-friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We strive to make every meal a great experience for you!
