While I'm not a vegetarian, I often choose meatless options when eating out. While there are many positives about J Alexanders, their meatless options are very much lacking. Besides a simple salad, the only option was a veggie burger. It is said to be made "in-house", so that is great, but a veggie burger is NOT an alternative to a... More

I ate here many times. The location is why I go here and good food. Easy to get to, plenty parking space and good service. They have a pretty decent bar where you can get wine in bottles around $20. That's hard to beat! I ate the speckled trout, it was very good. I will recommend this if you are... More

I'd been wanting to try J. Alexander's since seeing in Birmingham. It's has a similar to feel to Firebirds, another upscale chain restaurant. The restaurant is right in front of the Mall of Louisiana. It was not crowded for Friday lunch hour, so we were seated easily with no wait. Easily could have eaten everything off the menu, but chose... More

Enjoyed a bottle of wine and an appetizer in the bar with my wife before having dinner with friends. I got the filet Mignon and everyone else got the fish. Mine was succulent, eveyone else said the fish was delicious!

We stopped here one night last week and were so pleased with the food and service. My husband ordered the french dip sandwich and I ordered the cyrpess salad. He was happy with his generous portion and taste. I asked for NO onions and was a little disappointed when it came with finely chopped chives on top of the avacado.... More

I hadn't been here in a few years, but found myself stopping by on a trip back from New Orleans. I ordered the Bayou Pasta with shrimp, scallops and crap meat in a delicious alfredo type sauce. My girlfriend had the Pork Chops with mashed potatoes. Both of the dishes were absolutely amazing and had large portions as well. The... More

We had lunch here and did the walk in thing. Dinning area is very clean and remained us of Northern VA in the Tysons area. Very well thought out and tables were big and comfy to sit at. NO EU at this place. Staff are all smiles and happy. The food prep and display was expellant, special orders are just... More
