I don't think I've ever eaten such a delicious tender spicy little fried hush puppy. But that's not all, the entire meal was so good. I ordered the thin fried catfish and it came with hot fries, coleslaw, dirty rice and hush puppies. It was a huge serving and I've got my to go box for anther dose of goodness.... More

Went here for dinner. Not your typical restaurant building. Instead it looks like you are going to eat with friends who live on the bayou. The food was great. the service was good and timely. Would recommend to friends and definitely go back again.

It started off good, but my friends mash potatoes were dry, but other than that the food was good. Not the best food in town, but good. Then as I was... More

All the food is good and the hush puppies are excellent. On Tuesday nights the raw oysters are half price . There is a nice seating area outside on the porch also.

I love the batter...so crispy! The shrimp jump right out of the tail. Catfish...flaky. Hush puppies...sweet. Dirty rice...just enough heat. I don't eat fried food often. Worth the splurge.

We went to Parrain's while visiting Baton Rouge. For the 2 of us it was a 20 minute wait (not bad considering it was a high school graduation night). The food was good. Our favorite was the fried alligator!!

Brought my parents (from Nevada) and my uncle and aunt (from California) along with my family of 5 (party of 9 total). Got a nice big table we could all sit together at. Charbroiled oysters were described by my mom as the best she had eaten on their visit to Louisiana (both in NO and BR). Gumbo, fried catfish, etc... More

Food was exceptionally good, and service was reasonable. Tables crowded very close together, noise level Very high. Rustic decor. Pleasant covered porch with seating.
