We combed Baton Rouge for more than an hour trying to find a restaurant that serves breakfast all day. The city is rife with seafood and barbecue eateries, but breakfast after noon is a rarity. Louie's was recommended as a possibility by the staff at the old capitol building. We arrived at about 5:00 pm and were pleased to find... More

Great breakfast spot. Good food and service in traditional diner set up. Quick turnover even on Sunday morning only downside parking limited

Louies is an LSU staple....not many people from the area have not eaten here. It is a GREAT place to eat after visiting one of the LSU area bars.

Price 1/5 Service 3/5 Quality 2/5 I paid 14 dollars plus tip for 2 eggs, toast, bacon, hashbrowns, and coffee. It's a lot of food but ridiculously overpriced for breakfast. Not only expensive, but the food is not that great. I've somehow made better tasting eggs and bacon at home with less grease and fat. You'd be better off going... More

Took my family to experience Louie's (a favorite of mine during my LSU years) and they were impressed! The hash browns are still killer!

Stopped in Baton Rouge to see a friend and stumbled on this little place. It is the cutest joint I have been in awhile. Staff was friendly and the food was just great. I liked the black and white checkered floors with the red and white tables and chairs. It reminds me of an old time malt shop. We did... More

After a late night downtown by the riverfront we were all famished. We knew that our options were slim to none for our late night hunger pangs. It was either IHOP or try some other late night chain breakfast eatery, fast food, or try Louie's Cafe. We decided on Louie's cafe since we had never been to the newly opened... More

Basic food done right. Plus a little extra. Try the omelettes and hash browns. If Frenchy or Fred are working ask for Eggs Benedict. Its not on the menu but if you are nice they might make it for you. Amazing ...

Louie's is a diner with great breakfast - lunch food. The portions are big. If you are going to the football game at LSU stadium, they let you park on their lot for $30 and it is only 3 block walk to campus.
