We had passed by this place all the time, but never really noticed it until I heard they had great fried catfish so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed and in fact, we were pleasantly surprised. The fish was fried well, not...More

Just delicious poboys. Do not leave Baton Rouge without stopping by this restaurant. From fried oyster to fried chicken, all of their poboys are great. My entire family left happy, which hardly ever happens when we go out. Stop reading this and get in the...More

OMG, the seafood gumbo is delicious! It definitely is a Cajun gumbo. Reminds me of my moms home cooking.

Great food and friendly staff. We had fried shrimp basket with seafood gumbo. The gumbo came with a side of rice. The reading was very good and not greasy. We also had catfish. They were generous with the pieces. Enjoyed the visit.

Dempsey's was recommended by several locals for the shrimp po' boy. The shrimp and crawfish po' boy sandwiches were fantastic! Thankfully they sell 1/2 sandwiches so I could try both. Great red beans and rice to boot!

To the point. The gumbo is first rate and all the sandwiches and salads are on point. You won't be disappointed dining here.

Great food! Authentic food of Louisiana. Great mix and match options in the menu. Huge quantity of food relative to the menu prices.

The daily special of jambalaya and fried catfish was really good and enough for two people to share. They have different specials during the week. Service was very good too.

One of the best Poboy places in Baton Rouge!! Great food good family atmosphere and nice people!! Parking a problem and the place is too small and is usually crowded so be ready to wait !! It is worth it!!
