I stopped here 1 time before years ago and liked it, never had an opportunity until this weekend to revisit. We ordered the Biscuits and Amish Jam which were excellent. Meals were all good, and we ordered a combination of breakfast, Poboys and Liver and Onions. Everything was really tasty and the staff were great. Quality home cooked food at... More

This was the 3rd time we have stopped to eat at Mel's Diner Part II. We enjoy the retro atmosphere and there are lots of great menu choices.

We've eaten here many times over the years, however, over the last few visits we noticed that food quality seems to have diminished. The food lacked flavor. I hope they improve soon.

We eat there very often and just love the waitstaff. We mostly eat breakfast items after a night out on the town. They have great biscuits and white gravy .

We were in the Lafayette/Broussard area for the weekend to visit our son and daughter-in-law. On Friday, 09/23/16, my husband and I went to Mel's Diner Part II for dinner. We both ordered the chicken fried steak and, since they advertise as having the "World's Best Biscuits", of course we had to order a biscuit to try too. The biscuits... More

Every time we stop hear it's good. The food is very good. Surprising for a diner. The prices are extremely reasonable and the plates are plentiful. Eating here feels like you have stepped back in time. It has a great retro feel. The service is always friendly and fast. If you like good old fashioned comfort food with a southern... More

After driving to St. Martinsville to collect my Kentucky Derby winnings I decided to stop for lunch and Mel's Diner Highway 90. They were running a blue plate special of baked turkey cornbread dressing choice of two vegetables cranberry sauce and bread. I ordered dark meat string beans and corn. It was delicious a generous portion of dark meat came... More

The staff is very friendly. Orders are taken quickly and food prepared in a timely manner. We always enjoy our visits to Mel's Diner. The old signs and memorabilia are quite interesting to look at.

I Love Mel's. The Food is like COMFORT Food. Home style cooking at it's best. There is plenty of choices and I haven't had anything bad.
