We have eaten there before and found it quite nice, but yesterday, though we arrived very early the roast dinners were very disappointing, over-cooked roast potatoes and tough overcooked Yorkshire puddings and slushy vegetables. In fairness the vegetarian option and baked cod were good. Good service.

Had to visit family in Romsey and needed to find a place for lunch and saw this place on trip advisor so thought we'd give it a try. We were not disappointed. Great food, huge portions and despite being incredibly busy really attentive staff. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful ambience as always at The Wheatsheaf! The service and food for our family meal was superb. Cannot recommend highly enough for a delicious meal or just a quiet drink by the fireside. Thanks to all the team. This is the nicest pub for miles around!

We love this pub whether just for a drink or a filling and delicious meal. Dog and family friendly with an open fire.

We went for Sunday lunch/birthday meal (extended family group). It was delicious and the children were well catered for. Also good to see that the pub is dog friendly.

We have eaten at this pub approximately six times in the last year. Every time the food has been delicious. Service is always good too.

Cracking little village pub. Nice big open fire for these cold winter months. Wide choice of beers, ciders and wines! Food is lovely - not a huge menu, which I like, as you know all the food is home cooked, and not heated 'frozen' food or meals like some pubs are known for! The puddings are all definitely home made,... More

We decided to try The Wheatsheaf today and we were very pleasantly surprised. The menu is simple but the food and presentation was amazing. I can honestly say the chips that accompanied my beer battered cod were the best I have ever had. They were little pillows of fluffy potato in a crispy almost roast potato skin. We will definitely...
