Extremely disappointed again. We came here twice weekly for a long time before it was refurbished, being our local with a lovely warm inviting feel to it. Prices have gone up,quality has gone down. Decicided to try again early sun eve for a few selection of starters/snacks. Had a LONG wait, over 45 mins due to large table but weren't told... More

Had lunch here a couple of weeks ago. The pub/restaurant itself is very nice and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food is OK. I had a sausage sandwich and and my husband had the wood pigeon with sweet potato fries. The sausages were tasty but cold, and DH says there wasn't a lot of pigeon. The... More

We visited here just after it had been refurbished and had a great meal BUT when we went again this week we were left feeling very disappointed indeed. I had the same meal that I had previously enjoyed which was the pan fried chicken, the chicken was so overcooked it was very dry and difficult even cut through, the red... More

Web site states that the menu has gluten free options. That should read that it has one gluten free option. A dessert. I'm gluten intolerant rather than coeliac and find that restaurants (rightly) often don't make gluten free claims unless they can meet the requirements for a coeliac so I quizzed the staff. They were unable to tell me anything... More

Having had an awful experience about a year ago, we decided to give here a second chance. The refurbishment was lovely and we were hoping for equally good things with our meal but were sadly disappointed. We ordered a Tandoori Chicken burger which was tough and dry and didn't come with onion bhaji and a steak burger which was also... More

Had fish and chips and the wife had scampi. Portions were good and the price was fine, but both dishes had a load of sea salt added which ruined the flavour for me. The wife liked her dish, but mine was ruined. I mentioned it the the staff who just said the chef puts it on, no mention of a... More
