My husband visits Hammond about once a month. He was so excited to take me to this restaurant when I went with him this last time on a business trip. He said that he hadn't been here since they moved to the new location but had great experiences and the old location. We had spent all day traveling so we... More

It's a steakhouse, the shining star should be the steak not the french fries. My husband wanted to go out and eat steak for dinner and we were headed to another restaurant when we saw this one and decided to try it out. I've heard of this restaurant before on FB having great reviews. The restaurant looks great. They just... More

My wife and I went here on a date night. I ordered the ribeye and my wife ordered the filet. The steak was cooked perfectly, as for as the medium color. My steak was charred a little more than I like, but otherwise the steak was juicy and tender. The loaded baked potato and corn and crab bisque were also... More

When you want to have a little something special, the steak house is one of those places to go. The staff is great and the steaks are even better. On most nights you need to have reservations.

Have been now a number of times. Each time food and service were fantastic. Steaks are as good or better than any other such as Ruth's Chris, Keith Young's, Tim Gallagher's other fine steak houses. You will not find a better steak. Place is small but quiet. Not a lot of hustle bustle. One evening there was a large family... More

We found this place on trip advisor and with its reviews we decided to give it a try. The steaks were really very good but, my opinion, a bit over priced. $31 for a 12oz steak and salad. Additional $6 charge for baked potato. Be prepared to pay at the least $40 a person. We would definitely return for special... More

I have eaten in Ruth Chris Steakhouse and they don't hold a candle to the food here at The Steakhouse in Hammond. Not only is the service excellent, but the food is the best and freshest I have ever had. The steak will melt in your mouth with tenderness, creamed spinach is super fresh, not frozen. Mushroom soup was AwEsOme!!... More

Best steak. Best service. Great friendly atmosphere. Crab claws, mushroom soup and chili is to die for. Steaks are better than any we have tasted anywhere.

Always good! Our favorite local restaurant in Hammond, America...creamy portabella mushroom soup, spicy garlic chile shrimp and best Old Fashioned in town. Oh yeah, the steaks are excellent also!

Very disappointed with my experience. My husband and I have eaten here multiple times for special occasions and I wanted to make reservations for a larger group for December. I both called and sent a Facebook message last Tuesday, August 16th to make reservations for 18-20 in December and was told someone would get right back to me with the... More
