Big Al's was suggested by the front desk so our group tried it. Rustic decor but clean and staff was friendly and all smiles. I had the shrimp salad and had the choice of boiled, fried or grilled shrimp. I was being good so I did grilled. Thickest Ranch dressing I've ever had and tasty. The rest of the table... More

Grilled instead of fried? No problem. The staff at Big Al's is friendly and accommodating. Try their plate lunches -- especially the shrimp-stuffed mirliton. Yum! Open for lunch on Sundays too.

This restaurant was recommended to us and we decided to try it for it's sea food Cajun style. The portions are big, the food is delicious. I tried the seafood gumbo, my first time eating gumbo but definitely not my last time. The service is quick, professional, and polite. Our waitress was friendly and engaging for a few minutes even... I went for the crawfish etouffee which was recommended by a friend. They were out of it at 6:30 pm. The food I settled for was very average, not particularly tasty. Drinks were small and weak. Service was ok but nothing special. I would not go back.

My BF and I went in while down visiting family and it was great! I got the boiled shrimp that was seasoned to perfection. My BF got the red beans and rice and he said they were the best he ever had ( don't tell my mom). Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely go back.

Seafood fried. Tasty but salty. Good sweet tater fries. Good menu choices but no broiled seafood. Boiled crawfish in season.

Large, juicy and fresh. Better than Dragos. I had chicken and sausage gumbo, Paul had turtle; both were delicious. Pleasant atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly.

Big AL's is in my opinion the best seafood around. Their menu offers a variety and the flavor is just right. Pictures on walls show history and the atmosphere says Louisiana! Down home service and great food will bring you back.

Big Als is a local staple for dining in our area with seafood. There aren't any healthy or gluten free items, but the servings are generous and the service A+++. there used to be two locations but now there is only one. Be sure to get there before peak times as there can be quite a wait. They have a... More
