Had breakfast here May 27. Old school diner. T-Coon special is a man-size breakfast. Wife had pecan pancake. Good service, decent prices. Old but clean. Recommend and I would return.

Pleasant surprise. We were on our way to New Orleans and called to see if they had room for two on a Sunday morning. They did and we had a really good meal. They have all the usual breakfast fare, but also things for folks...who eat low carb/Keto, as well as a homemade seasoning blend that we each bought; orange juice with no corn sweetener or added sugar. I had a very interesting meal consisting of a big hamburger patty with sauteed onions and cheese, served with delicious, non-greasy breakfast potatoes, also with those sauteed onions. My friend had a scramble with ham and the potatoes. It is a bustling place! They also serve lunch.More
Just finished breakfast. I had the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs, grits, bacon, and a heavenly biscuit. The grits were delicious, the bacon very well done and so were the eggs. I also had coffee, delicious. I added a side of sausage gravy, it was...good on the dry eggs. I would return for the biscuit and coffeeMore
Great food, friendly atmosphere and fantastic wait staff. Even though we were there during Mardi Gras week and the place was packed, service and food were top notch. Rally enjoyed breakfast and came back for lunch the next day. Keep up the good work guys!!
Excellent breakfast for the price. The staff was friendly and prompt. 2 eggs, sausage, biscuit and fresh coffee are a great way to start your day.
This was our first visit here while in town for a doctors appointment. The food and the service was excellent! I tried the pork and my daughter in law had the fried chicken. It was all good, southern cooking. I would definitely eat here again.
Decent, casual place for a filling breakfast. Service was quick and server was friendly. Good number of menu options.
This is a great local restaurant. Breakfast was delicious, especially the "custom made" smoked sausage. Service was super and friendly. A very enjoyable meal. I hate I missed the Monday rabbit special.
My Wife and I went to this restaurant for breakfast and were not disappointed! My Wife had to have their Fresh Made Benets and they were very good. I had a Ham & Cheese Omelet and it was excellent. Prices are very reasonable.
The beignets were excellent. They came and we ate them at once (no pictures). Each order comes with 3 beignets. My husband got the crawfish omelette -is rare to get that type of omelette . We got one with spinach and bacon. They cook the...whole spinach leaves and the spinach taste was very strong. One of my daughters got the breakfast plate and said it was good. I’m not a grits person and I ate the whole serving. Overall is a good place to get breakfast for a very good price. We bought their seasoning “The Stuff” my daughter said her eggs got that seasoning and that it make them tastier.More
We travel to Lafayette several times a year and always make a stop or two at T-Coons for real good Cajun food. This visit was no exception. It is located at the intersection of Kaliste Saloom and W. Pinhook across from Raising Canes Chicken Fingers....Great location, big parking lot, etc. You go in to a large dining room full of tables and walk along the left wall up to the serving line. Best to hang back and check out the extensive menu, because they seem to like it better if you know what you want. Lovely staff behind the hot tray line ladling up the best food you can imagine. I try to get there for Mondays, when the special is smothered rabbit. On this visit I had the shrimp with okra stew and the jambalaya. Must say the stew was a little bland, but the jambalaya was terrific. Loaded with chunks of pork and sausage. Can't be beat. If you ever get a chance to meet T-Coon it is a pleasure. He often comes out and visits folks at the tables. Regardless of the Prejeans, Don's, Dwight's and Randol's, which I have enjoyed each of, T-Coons is my favorite place in Lafayette.More
I’d give it a 10 if possible. So damn good. 1st, be hungry, real hungry. My wife and I should have split a plate. 2nd, you can order off a menu, not just what’s on the steamer table - even though we did and it...was so good. 3rd, come a little past lunch as it’s crowded. We had black beans n rice and the pork meatball fricassee and they were outstanding. You gotta try this place. And the owner is very nice.More
I had a delicious Crawfish etouffee omelette with a side of grits. Also ordered some beignets to go. The food was fast, hot and delicious. This was also the best coffee I had on my visit to this area so far. Plus my waitress was...above and beyond good to me. I can’t wait to go back and try a lunch plate😁More
The food was tasteless, limp, and the restaurant is dirty. The waitstaff didn't wear face masks. This place should be shut down by the state.
I had breakfast with the smoke sausage and potatoes. The sausage were big and greasy, they did not seem to be fully cooked. The potatoes were dark brown, cooked with the peelings on, were not flavorful at all. The toast was thick hard and over...cooked. Waitress was very young child wearing short shorts, not appropriate. Something you would see at Hooters. And the Mello joy coffee was not tasty and very weak!!More
