We discovered this place on a recent stop in Lafayette, and now we will eat here every time we stay overnight! The catfish with crawfish etouffe is outstanding, and now I fear I shall never try anything else. The Cucumber Hendrix martini was very good...More

Decor is Lafayette all the way! Our food at lunch was acceptable, but I was hoping to be "wow"ed. The corn and crab bisque was OK, as was my husband's fried shrimp.

Thank you for your review! We do serve chicken & sausage gumbo on our Sunday brunch. Out crab cakes are not New England style lump crabmeat cakes. They are a deep fried Cajun version which is very different. I'm glad you enjoyed the shrimp, and...More

I have tried most of the menu. Unbelievably great food. The medallion noted dishes are the ones to go for. One of my favorite places to take out of town guests and clients.

If you want to be immersed into Rodrigue's paintings, mostly but not exclusively about the blue dog while enjoying some fine Cajun food, the Blue dog Cafe is the place. Local specialties but there can be wait times for dinner, it is popular.

I have been here a few times, I was hoping to change my mind about this place. It is really neat to see all of the artwork in the restaurant, so I would recommend taking out of town guests here. Once. But for the food...More
